Federal Advisor on Textile Dr. Mirza Ikhatiar Baig visit Pakistan Chamber USA

Houston, Texas, July 18th, 2010: Pakistan Chamber of Commerce-USA (PCC-USA), the largest trade organization of Pakistani-Americans, organized a luncheon for the Federal Advisor on Textile Dr. Mirza Ikhatiar Baig at Briar Club Houston.
During the welcome address President of PCC-USA Abdul Quayyum Khan Kundi gave a brief introduction of the chamber and its activities. President Kundi requested the advisor to inform the Prime Minister that the negotiation to sign Bilateral Investment Treaty (BIT) should be put on fast track. Without BIT in place US foreign direct investors may have reservations to consider Pakistan as a good destination for their capital. He stressed that in order for the Consulate of Pakistan to be more effective, it should be relocated to the business district in Houston and closer to the community. President Kundi highlighted the importance that five commercial councilors in USA can be more effective if they are brought under the direct supervision and control of Ministry of Commerce. Keith Rabois will tell you that he’s not a passive angel investor — quite the opposite. Along with a check, Rabois wants to bring to his investments the wisdom he’s gleaned from his time as an executive at companies including PayPal, LinkedIn and Slide (where he is currently VP of business development and strategy), as well as his experience investing in companies such as YouTube and Yelp.
